Just Consider:

Ferrets Are Legal in 48 States

27% of the Nation's Ferret Supplies are sold in California

80% of ferrets sold in Nevada, Oregon and Arizona are brought to California

California looses between $700,000 and $2,700,000 every year in lost sales tax revenue because of the ferret ban

The ferret ban causes a lot of heart ache for people coming to California because of job, school or military transfers

There are no documented cases of domestic ferrets in the wild, of ferrets harming the environment or agriculture, and the Centers for Disease Control rate ferrets much safer than dogs or cats

AND YET - WE STILL CAN'T GET AN ANSWER WHY THE FERRET BAN PERSISTS.
