I'm a little teapot, short and stout, la la la la.

For just $12/month, you can save this poor weazel from life in a teapot...queue sad music

I wanted to offer some suggestion on the Wysong ferret diet because I strongly advocate feeding this diet to ferrets.  It is the ONLY food on the market that comes close to mimicking a natural ferret diet and I actually reversed the onset of adrenal gland disease in my Lil' Sasquatch - no bullsh*t.  My Lil' Girl unfortunately was too far along at the time, but considering she was given only a couple weeks and she made it for another six months, I'd say that's pretty good.  I'm fairly new to the ferret scene, but have been an animal lover all my life and when chance brought them into my life, I took a crash course in ferret-ology as I was forced to deal with the first tragedy due to one of the all too common ferret diseases only 2 weeks after I rescued them.  Based on everything I have read and experienced I firmly believe that diet is the number 1 contributor to ALL of the common ferret ailments and even though ferrets might be more attracted to the more commonly sold ferret foods, the preservatives and additives used in these foods does more harm than good.  Just my opinion.  That being said, the Wysong is an incredible product and I guarantee you will see a difference in your ferrets energy, coat texture and just overall appearance.

If you're feeding the Ferret Archetypal 1, my suggestion for getting your ferrets to eat it is to use a little duc soup, Vivify, Ferret Nutrical, or a combination of all three and moisten it.  Or use a coffee grinder to grind it up and mix it in with the Marshall diet (I use the Archetypal 2 and Evo).  All the ferrets I've had also seem to be a lot more willing to try something new if it's out of my hand rather than in a bowl.  Anyway, I know you didn't ask and I may be completely out of line offering, and I'd love for my advice to always be useful and appreciated, but just in case, please excuse the intrusion if I have wasted your time.

Last Issue of CLIFFNotes for 2009
- We're Going Out On A Cute Note
!!

Two days ago was Christmas and today is my birthday.  A party is starting in a couple of hours so I'm going to do most of CLIFFNotes before the party and a little of it afterward.  Time is a little limited, and so is the news this week.  Not much has happened regarding ferret legalization; but I can awe you with cute ferret photos, and additions from my Christmas trip to Las Vegas on Christmas Day.
I named this girl Bailey after our recently departed dog.  Kind of strange to have another Bailey, but it feels right at the same time.
I called this little girl Tiger because of her outgoing personality

I got to visit the happiest place on Earth.  - Not Disneyland, Pet Kingdom USA.

The sun was shining, as it usually does in Las Vegas. A ray of sunshine was waiting to be mine. (Plus, I was shooting into the sun.)
They had three sets of ferrets, each housed according to the week they were born in.

When we finally arrived at the pet store, my partner Jim parked in the 15 minute parking!  Arghh!
Besides ferrets, they have monkeys, sugar gliders, hedgehogs and more.  15 minutes wasn't going to be enough time to spend at the store!  I planned on spending a little more time than that!  - Jim picked out Bailey and I picked out Tiger.

We drove home back through the fully-manned Agricultural Checkpoint in Barstow.  They back up traffic and wave everyone through.  Little did they know we were also bringing in Mediterranean fruit flies, how would they know?  - What a waste of tax payer money.

Everyone is now home, and all four ferrets are getting along great.  The cuteness factor is off the scale and it has been a great Birthday present for me.

Actually, I was allowed only one ferret for my Birthday.  Tiger I think has a new home with someone I picked out for her - neither party is aware of it yet, that comes after the party.

2nd Part of CLIFFNotes - Party Photos

Jannine, our psychic said everything is lined up for ferret legalization except the pizzaz, we need a Hollywood celebrity.

Bailey eating some Wysong while I clean up the cage.  (They also have Marshall Diet).

Tiger has a thing for slippers

I appreciate Lance, Dawn and Sharlene (Sorry Sharlene if I misspelled your last name!) coming down from Orange County.

In Conclusion

Its been a challenge to get this CLIFFNotes out on time.  I apologize for the lack of hard news but things are going nicely and 2010 promises to be a pivotal year.  Perhaps we can wrap it all up, the work needed to file the Environmental Impact Report and getting the EIR filed and processed.

Thank you to everyone who supported us through out the year.

And we raised $432 for Ollie's vet bill last week.  I understand Ollie is doing much better and we'll try to get a full report next week.

Stay tuned for a slightly different look next year for CLIFFNotes.
